Job Description

Job Title: Accounting  assistant

Functional Relationships:

  • To support the finance department and management team by completing accounting tasks    
  • To prepare and complete basic bookkeeping and accounting duties for the company 



  • Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable
  • Payments setting: wire transfers, on various payment platforms
  • Completing purchase orders, check invoices and arrange for payment.
  • Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team
  • Assisting with budgets
  • Completing bank reconciliations
  • Handle cashier post
  • Entering financial information into appropriate software programs
  • Processing business expenses
  • Coordinating internal and external audits
  • Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies
  • Verifying bank deposits
  • Managing day-to-day transactions
  • Recording office expenditures and ensuring these expenses are within the set budget
  • Assisting the finance department with various tasks, including preparing budgets, records, and statements
  • Posting daily receipts
  • Reporting on debtors and creditors
  • Handling accruals and prepayments
  • Managing monthly budgeting tasks
  • Encoding accounting entries for data processing
  • Sorting financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts
  • Reviewing computer reports for accuracy and meticulously tracing errors back to their source
  • Resolving errors in financial reports and correcting faulty reporting methods
  • Prepare ad hoc report as and when required.
  • Answer phone calls and resolve issues.
  • Deliver and receive official company’s documents from banks and public offices, when required.



  • Financial University degree required (ΑΕΙ/ΤΕΙ)
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Fluent in English
  • Previous experience with Microsof Dynamics Navision will be appreciated 
  • Relevant work experience of minimum 3 years
  • Excellent organizational and time management/multi-tasking skills
  • Passionate, results oriented, high integrity, strong interpersonal skills
  • A confident and positive attitude, focused on teamwork and communication with colleagues at all levels
